I watched the War of the Ancients machinima. I was very much enjoyed it. It must have required a tremendous level of organisation and commitment to come up with such a production, especially given the non-commercial nature of the production. Congratualtions go to Vaanel and all else who were involved.
I especially enjoyed it having read the novel, though I'm sure somebody who has not read the original will still get a lot out of it.
Sadly, the incredible level of detail in Vaanel's models is sometimes lost in the onscreen action. Some of the voice acting was also a bit mediocre. I'm also not sure the heavy use of music from the LOTR films was the most sensible choice of the soundtrack. But these faults don't on the whole detract from the incredible quality of this production.
